Call me James
A bit about me...
And why Thunder Bunch?
I’ve been working in visual storytelling for most of my career. I started out in visual effects around 2006, working in Soho (London) on films, commercials and music videos, before going on to teach the next generation of artists.
When I moved from London to Bristol in 2017, I turned freelance and specialised in animated explainer videos and animation for eLearning. It was an exciting leap into a career where I could combine my creative skills, my background in teaching and my understanding of how people learn.
Since then I’ve been fortunate to create hours of animation, draw countless illustrations and build 40+ courses for organisations around the world. I’ve worked alongside eLearning providers, marketing teams and creative agencies to train staff, launch products and promote brands.
I’m now based in Devon. When I’m not working, I’m getting lost in nature, being pulled out to sea on my paddleboard, or exercising. And on those lazy days, you’ll find me creating digital art, buried in a book or searching YouTube for the latest band.
